FIELD FACT #1****** Turf will turn our main “football” field into a multi-purpose field which will enable field hockey, soccer, band rehearsals, and additional physical education to use the field. FIELD FACT #2 ********* Turf can be used continuously in practices and games, regardless of weather conditions because of its rapid drainage system. FIELD FACT #3 **** One turf field can provide the same play capacity as six grass fields when used to its full capacity – two will be equivalent to twelve fields. FIELD FACT #4 **** Youth recreational sports programs will have the option to use the field when it is not being used by the high school – this opens up two additional fields. FIELD FACT #5 **** Maintenance of turf fields is fractions less than that of grass fields – this will in turn save tax payers money each year. FIELD FACT #6 ***** Practicing on turf every day will enable our athletes to compete at a higher level with neighboring programs who have turf fields. FIELD FACT #7 ***** Most schools in our conferences have turf fields or are in the process of installing them including: Mountain Lakes , Morristown , Madison , Chatham , Summit , and Parsippany Hills.
